Abstract

The article analyses the works on Russian climatology by K. S. Veselovsky (middle of the 19th century) who was the first to process the data of meteorological observations in Russia and to find out the laws of heat and moisture distribution on the territory of Russia. The article considers K. S. Veselovsky’s contribution to the development of Russian meteorology and climatology.
